Yesterday's post regarding the difficult task of consulting really hit a nerve or people just happened to be particularly interested in my blog, yesterday. If you missed that posting, here it is: http://wp.me/pyRVq-yc

What I am truly curious to know are the answers to these questions:

  1. Was it really the topic that grabbed everyone's attention or something else?
  2. Who was reading it? Was it the consultants or the customers?
  3. What were their thoughts on it? Did they agree or disagree?

Overall, if you were one of the many people reading it, I would be curious to hear your comments. If you have any response to the post, I hope you'll all post a comment for others to read. I know there are a few of you who will never do that -- who will always personally respond to me. However, I think it's instructive when we post comments, publicly, so that everyone can benefit from your point of view.

Being a retired consultant and still watching the industry, I found it correct. We have to be willing to admit what we do not know. We also have to expect that our advice will not be taken.
