This past weekend, I was at my neighborhood’s party and I found a way to have a LIMS conversation, even there. I know I look hard for these conversations but you might be surprised how good I’ve gotten at finding ways to talk about LIMS and ELN instead of whatever it is that people talk about at social events.
In this case, someone had asked me what I do, I gave them the quick description, and when I politely asked them for their profession, found out that the person works as NSF (National Sanitation Foundation), which is a local company. Of course, this was my opportunity to talk about their Thermo Scientific SampleManager LIMS implementation for a while. So, it was a great night for me since I love to talk about LIMS and ELNs.
Now, what would have been ideal is if I’d come home from the neighborhood party with a new customer, which didn’t happen, but I’m still pretty excited that I got a chance to have an industry-related conversation. Besides, it beats those endless discussions about the weather that we tend to get into, around here. 🙂
