In May, I made a post regarding an award for which my company has been nominated: Thanks to the 2016 International Life Science Awards

I still haven't found out who nominated my company. If they're reading this, I truly do want them to know I appreciate them taking out the time to do so. Meanwhile, I just received a note letting me know that the awards are soon to be decided.

I'm quite pleased about this nomination. While awards don't pay the bills, it's a nice feeling to think that someone took the time to make the nomination. So many times, we might be pleased with the work someone does with or for us and we don't necessarily tell them. Many times, we probably do quite appreciate what someone has done and don't necessarily think to say so. After all, they're just doing their job, right? But if you've gotten something useful, nice, productive, or positive in any way from anyone you're working with, please take just a moment to tell them. For most of them, you'll really make their day. It will be out of the ordinary.

Now, I'm going to go find someone to thank. Lots of people have made my day - I'm sure I can find some unsuspecting victim to thank.  :-)
